I think Mustache Girl is Hat Kids caricature of a girl she tried to befriend who totally backstabbed her in some petty way or another. Not to mention that Hat Kid's reactions to most game events sans Vanessa are completely wrong, unless it is all a fantasy that she is in complete control of the entire time. I find it strange that she has no superpowers (except from stealing Time Pieces.) Hat Kid / Bow Kid get powers from their hats, but Mustache Girl gets nothing from her otherwise-parallel mustache.
